Are your kitchen cupboards looking greasy? Don’t worry, it’s normal for kitchen cupboards to accumulate grease over time. This is especially true for cupboards located near the range. Luckily, in many cases, you can get them looking like new. The best way to remove oven grease from kitchen cupboards will depend upon the severity of your grease stains.
Here are a couple of different options, as demonstrated by YouTube DIY experts, “One Good Thing by Jillee” and “Ghostses,” respectively:
How to Remove Oven Grease from Kitchen Cupboards
A good place to start, particularly for minor to moderate cases, is with the all-natural method presented by “One Good Thing by Jillee.” This method uses two natural ingredients that are both safe to use on all cupboards. Check it out!
“Kitchen Cabinet ‘Gunk’ Remover”
Jillee reveals the all-natural formula she likes to use to remove grease from her cabinets, which is 2 parts baking soda and 1 part vegetable oil.
She uses an old toothbrush and the paste to scrub off the “gunk” that has accumulated around her cabinet’s handles. Wipe off with a clean cloth.

If this solution isn’t heavy-duty enough to remove your kitchen cupboard grease, proceed to the next option presented by “Ghostses”.
“Cleaning Extremely Thick Grease from Kitchen Cabinets”
For severe cabinet grease stains, “Ghostses” recommends using a wheel/tire cleaner such as this one. These cleaners are formulated to cut through heavy grease. However, try it in a small, innocuous spot of the cabinet first to make sure it won’t damage the finish of your cabinet.
Spread the cleaner on the stained areas and use an old toothbrush to scrub off the grease.
To work in between the crevices of the cabinet, use a plastic scraper.
